Battery Switches
Your battery switch set up may vary depending on your boat model so it is always best to check the owner’s manual for a complete overview of their functions. Most Jeanneau models have a common
Negative (black) for the whole boat and an Engine (red) and House (red) switch. Some models have a battery parallel or combine switch.
Operating Boat: all switches ON
Away From Boat (on shore power): Negative ON, House ON, Engine OFF
Away From Boat (on trailer, not on shore): all switches OFF
You can use the parallel switch to combine the voltage of all batteries onboard. This is useful for starting your engines if the batteries are low.
The orientation of the battery switches does not affect the shore power charging system.
Engine Service
The Yamaha Service intervals can be found in your engine manual included in your owner’s bag. The most important intervals are the initial 20 hour service and the 100 hour service. We recommend your engine service be done by a Yamaha Service Center.

We do not offer engine service but we can supply Yamaha parts on request.
Water Systems
As the water systems vary from model to model please refer to your owner’s manual for specific information.
Fresh water is added via a deck fill into a blue water tank (location varies by model). A rocker switch at the dash (tap icon) turns the fresh water pump on and off. The water pump has to be running for the taps and showers to work. A lack of water or air in the system will cause the pump to run and can cause overheating and/or damage to the pump.
Keep your tanks topped up and dash switch off when not in use to prevent this.
All sinks drain directly overboard. The shower floor drains are operated via a rocker switch.
The hot water tank option works on 120V power so you will need to be on shore power or run a generator to operate the tank.
Water tanks should be drained and filled with potable antifreeze during freezing weather. See winterizing
Toilet Systems
Please refer to your owner’s manual to familiarize yourself with the locations of all parts of the toilet system.
The Jeanneau models 695, 795 and 895 S1 have raw water toilets. Locate the raw water thru hull for toilet water supply.
Close this thru hull when away from the boat for extended periods of time.
The 895 S2, 1095 and 1295 toilets are supplied by the fresh water system. Ensure your water tanks are topped up for toilet operation.
All toilets flush into a holding tank. The holding tank can be dumped by opening the thru hull manually or turning on the macerator switch if your model is equipped with one.
It is recommended to dump your tank as much as possible and to add tank treatment throughout the
boating season. We recommend Zaal Noflex Digestor, Ecomar Shock Treat or Dometic Max Control for
tank treatments.
Refer to your local regulations for dumping holding tanks.
Winterizing
Your winterizing procedure can vary from model to model. We recommend the following:
– Run heaters or dehumidifiers inside cabin to combat condensation
– Dry Z bags / air crystals inside cabin
– Drain fresh water system and run potable antifreeze through
– Drain toilet system and holding tank. Add potable antifreeze to system
– Ensure no standing water in bilge or hatches
– Close thru hulls
Speak to your Yamaha Service Center about engine winterizing if needed.
